What it is
MSRA.uk is a study tool for doctors preparing for the Multi-Specialty Recruitment Assessment — the standardised exam used across several UK specialty training applications. It hosts a bank of multiple-choice questions and a curated set of notes built around the MSRA blueprint.
Why I built it
I built it for myself, during my own MSRA preparation. I had notes and questions scattered across a dozen places — PDFs, screenshots, scraps in Notion — and it was slowing me down. A small web app pulled everything into one searchable place, and it turned out other people wanted the same thing.
Where it’s at
Live at msra.uk. Runs on a minimal stack, updated as content evolves. No commercial ambition — it stays up because it’s useful to candidates, costs little to run, and is a good example of the “scratch your own itch, ship it, see if anyone else cares” pattern that produces the best side projects.
